From the Maker:
After finding an antique brass lamp on the street on a squintingly sunny day, I repurposed the base and made a ceramic hand lamp shade. The hand can be adjusted to block as much light as is wanted.
 
I am a Cypriot visual artist based in Brooklyn. My current art practice combines different mediums, such as sculpture, drawing, comics, and photography, to consider themes related to everyday life and explore the possibilities and boundaries of our relationships to each other, nature, and sense of cultural identity. After graduating with a B.A. (Hons) of Fine Art from the University of Edinburgh in the UK, I moved to New York, where I have worked as an artist assistant to many artists and photographers.
