The lamp is an homage to the shape of the Art Deco design house, Maison Desny. Made entirely from Lego bricks, it achieves the goal of high design using standard (or in this case, low) building materials, giving an otherwise very serious piece of design, a bit of humor.
 
Armando Aguirre is an interior designer based in New York City. His practice,
Studio Armando Aguirre, focuses on the design of both residential and retail projects, as well as the development of furniture, lighting, and objects.
